In Odessa for a few days and wanted BBQ. Super friendly staff and the facility is dated for sure. That?s all and well but I went for the food. I was not disappointed at all! I had the 3 meat plate of brisket, ribs and sausage with sides of green beans/mac and cheese. Food was flavorful and moist meat without being too fatty. The bbq sauce was delicious especially the spicy one. Bottom line?I would/will go again! View all feedback.
What Dora Wirz doesn't like about Johnny's Barbeque:
The BBQ sauce and cherry cobbler were very tasty, However the BBQ meat (I got the brisket and ribs) was very bland and I couldn't taste the smoke in it. The sides I got were mac n cheese and, green beans, they were also very bland and flavorless. The price was nice and cheap, about $35 for two people. I recommend a sandwich with extra sauce and cherry cobbler if you decide to go. View all feedback.
Very moderate bbq, but excellent staff. If the food was as good as the staff, this would be an excellent restaurant.
Chopped beef sandwich had good taste, but was mined in texture. The lack of chicks distracted from the experience of chopped beef. Enjoy the soft finisher.

Always good food here BBQ is always excellent Tried the chicken fried steak and thoroughly impressed. I usually have to go to San Angelo to get a decent chicken fried steak. But this way certainly eliminates this journey.
I ordered two brisket sandwiches that cost 22.05. Just brisket in a bun. No bbq sauce, pickles or onions included and the brisket was not warm. Very disappointed. The service and food has always been great here, what's happened to this place?
