Great BBQ! The award-winning wings live up to their name. The salmon I ordered was smoky and delicious, cooked perfectly! And the mashed potatoes?? Yummm. Our server was very attentive and the vibe of the place was nice and laid back. I didn't know they did karaoke and live music, so I'll be visiting for that! Definitely coming back to try their other dishes when the itch for comfort food hits again. View all feedback.

What Tiffi R dislikes about This That Does Not Exist:
Went today specifically for a party batch of wings. I think it sucks that they only wanted to provide 4 small dressings. They should at least have a party sized dressing option. If I put a pan of wings on a buffet, I would expect to be able to put at least an 8oz dip for people to spoon some on their plates. If there were options to buy a larger one, it wasn't offered to me. The Crabby Fries were surprisingly generous, loaded with crab meat mixed throughout the crispy fries, making it an ideal dish for sharing. As for the cornbread, it was possibly the best I've ever had—exceedingly buttery, served at the perfect temperature, and it just melted in my mouth. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering two more to take home! Even though the fries and wings were quite filling, I decided to go ahead and order my entrée before finishing the appetizers. I selected the Hideaway Sampler with a side of collard greens and Brussels sprouts, but keep in mind that the Brussels sprouts come at an extra charge of $2. I wasn't aware of that, but I would have still added them to my order. The ribs were decent, but nothing spectacular, while the regular smoked wings were good—though I prefer the Old Bay wings. The brisket was fantastic—tender and just right. The pulled pork was decent, though it really shines once you add some sauce. Overall, my experience here was excellent! I will undoubtedly be coming back. Kudos to the team, and Katy deserves a raise! During our visit, I experienced a cramp at the table, and she noticed my discomfort. She checked on me to ensure I was okay while my wife was in the bathroom, making sure I was all right before she left. That is truly top-notch service. Thank you once again!

Everything was incredible! The service was outstanding. Jason gave us excellent recommendations! The atmosphere at 6 PM was just right. We happened upon this lively spot, and we're so happy we did! I tried the Bourbon pecan pie and the blue burger, both of which were delicious! We will definitely be coming back!

This is precisely what I was hoping to find in a local barbecue place, and it has swiftly become my favorite in the DMV area! Our server was outstanding and brought so much positive energy to our experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish cooked to perfection. The homemade desserts were delightful, too. I strongly recommend trying the hideaway sampler! The brisket is simply incredible.

I still like this place, maybe for sentimental reasons. I remember coming here with my parents back in the 80's/90's when it was called Jim's Hideaway and they served steamed crabs. They really should do that again. Oh but the parking ... It still has that hole in the wall vibe. Went in on a Sunday craving chicken wings. I really like theirs because I can order them plain with sauce on the side. My chicken sandwich was tasty as well. Our service was quick, but noticed that other tables had more of a wait for food.

3.29.24 Why do they call it the Hideaway? Because it's off a beaten path in an industrial area. Thank goodness for the invention of the gps. Hubby and I came on a Friday evening after our friend recently went here and recommended it. Hubby got the Smoked Fried Chicken with mac cheese and baked beans. I got the Hideaway Sampler which came with 1/4 St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and 2 naked wings. I got the potato salad and hush puppies as my sides. Hubby and I shared our entrees. The Smoked Fried Chicken was the winner! It had great flavor. For our favorite side, he liked the mac cheese the best whereas my favorite was the hush puppies which came with honey butter. They have four bbq sauces including: bourbon molasses, Carolina, Knocked-Up, and Blackberry Chipotle. My favorite was the bourbon molasses. They should definitely sell the sauces. Some of the best I've ever had! Service was fast. We were in and out within 30 minutes. Our server was great initially when taking our order and bringing us our food, but we didn't see her for a while and had to flag her down for our check. Most likely, it got hectic as more patrons came in around peak dinner time. Parking lot was packed by the time we left around 6 pm. There is street parking on the main road. There is a bar and patio seating is also available. My hubby said their smoked fried chicken rivals with the chicken at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg. Definitely will be back for their delicious chicken!
