We followed the recommendations and asked about the vegan burger. The staff was very friendly, quickly prepared the food during the busy lunch hour. I have two meals with drinks for 500 NOK. Definitely a great option for vegan visitors in Odda! And if the weather is nice, make sure you take a table outside, the view is amazing! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Smeltehuset:
at noon, but at 2 o'clock they already miss 4 meal times. no fish soup or bark sandwich. I had a cadjau. not sure why bacon along with cod pasta looked sad and cod had anidentified aftertaste that made me think View all feedback.
I can definitely confirm the last review. They do not have the vegan burger as an option. So sad. I left and went to the other option in town
Well, unfortunately it seems they dont have the tasty looking vegan burger from earlier reviews anymore. So they only had a vegeterian burger option. I asked the waiter if they have something vegan and he proposed the vegetarian burger with vegan buns. I asked 2 more times if its really vegan then and he said yeah so I agreed. But when I got it, it looked very much like the brioche bread, which is very much not vegan, and it also had some sauce in it which I dont know if it was vegan and same goes for the patty. So I couldnt eat it and gave it to an omni friend, which left me with fries. I honestly dont know why any restaurant would remove the really good looking vegan option and replace it with a [censored] vegeterian option. Just stupid. Also, the location on happycow is a bit wrong, its located at the water. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-08
Really enjoyed this vegan burger, perfect for post hiking!
The vegan burger was nice but quite expensive even for Norwegian standards. The waiter was incredibly kind though. I recommend!
