About half the folks there were wearing masks last time I went, which was a bit off putting. There is a good mix of vendors- cheese, fruit, flowers, veggie and meat. I even got my knives sharpened! I think 2 things are missing 1 music- some form of music would be great 2 Coffee and donuts? . I love waking around perusing the wares with a good cup of joe in my hand! View all feedback.
What Abigail W doesn't like about Oconomowoc Farmers Market:
I really enjoyed this farmers market! A little smaller but pretty good food options! No dogs allowed totally fine with me! The only downside is that there are virtually no trash cans. View all feedback.
Love this market. Lots of produce and interesting mix of other vendors (we bought some awesome specialty cheese . Especially appreciate the no dogs rule some other farmers markets are overrun with dogs (are you listening, Brookfield? and it detracts from the overall experience.
Saturday Mornings 8-12, Nice small farmers market with the expected goods. Veggies, fresh meats, bakeries, fresh flowers, cheese, hand made soaps, popcorn, etc..you get the picture. It looks like this is set up in a city lot, and plenty of free parking. There is also 2 hour street parking in the area nearby. We didn't see a bbq stand which another yelper mentioned : but Noodles was there giving out samples. Noodles was threre to promote they are opening up a store and also looking for help so if any yelpers are looking for work out that way.....here ya go Same as Steven T. wrote, there was honey, jewelry, chiropractic booth, sweet corn, and of course the peaches. We have been tracking down the large peach trucks in our area but they only come in 25 lb boxes. These ones are called market trucks and they sell them in 5 lb bags for $10.00, same company Tree-Ripe, They ripen quick so I suggest keep them in the fridge and take out a couple at a day. When soft and room temp they will be the most delicious peaches you ever ate plus they sell 5# boxes of sweet blueberries. Needless to say,y I did not go home with droping $120.00 Sweet corn is expected in a week or two
This was my first time in a few years coming to the winter market, and even though its end of March, I was looking for produce, hoping for greenhouse farmers.
This farmer's market is easy to get to, with ample parking, and features a good number of vendors. It is a source of fresh, local, and healthy food for the community. The vendors offer products ranging from hand soaps to metal sculptures or cut flowers to meat. Everything you could want in vegetables, fruits, bakery items, flowers, etc. are available at a reasonable price. All the vendors were courteous, friendly, and happy to answer any questions. We enjoyed walking through the market and seeing all the vendors with their produce, jams, spices, and jellies. Even if you don't get something, your experience will be enjoyable. In a very friendly community atmosphere, local honey is abundant, pastries and bread, including gluten and dairy/vegan free options. It's a wonderful Saturday outing in a relaxed and friendly environment. The market opens on Saturday only from 8 AM to 12 PM and runs from May 1 through October. Over the past 40 years, the Oconomowoc Farmers' Market has been a place to support the local farmers and build community.
