Sweetest little mom and pop place. They have great service and delicious food. Their French Toast is freaking amazing and I don't even like French Toast (hubby loves FT and can't get enough of the FT here) View all feedback.
What Kathryn Gollier doesn't like about Suzy Q's Diner:
The staff was so nice, decorations give a nice dinner vibe. Manager/chef is an obvious micromanager, scolding staff in front of customers. On several occasions she came out of the kitchen to handle seating on her own, also revealing her open toed shoes! Great little find in Escondido. I know it's been here for awhile but I haven't heard much about it and finally saw a post somewhere else on fb so we thought we'd try it. The diner is a totally cool throwback in both furnishings and decor. Our awesome waitress Rosy was so cute she looked like she stepped right our of a postcard from the 60's and she was more than attentive. She wrote hardly anything down but didn't forget a single thing. The food was awesome and the homemade cinnamon rolls are ginormous and delicious. Definitely go if you're looking for good breakfast grub. We will be back!
First time for me to leave a review but this place is amazing, from the eggs and toast to the country fried steak. This is a must have stop if you are ever in the Escondido area, or even passing by. I'm currently an Esco local so I make sure to eat here as much as I can. I highly recommend the Country Fried Steak, and if you love a good gravy; they have the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had, from coast to coast never had a better dish!

Sweet little mom and pop place. Service was very friendly and food was made fresh to order. The country potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The French toast is to die for because they use a delicious cinnamon bread

I am a big proponent of supporting local business, but this was a very disappointing experience.
