Subway - Oceanside

New location! Right next to the old location. Except, everything is new. Lol The one worker was really busting it out with a line of five people and multiple machines beeping at them. The multitasking was impressive! Sandwiches weren't rushed either. My only piece of advice would be to the closing shift (or whoever does the dining room cleaning)... move the chip shelves and clean under there when ya do the floors. It's gross, and really shouldn't be, considering how new it is. Also, the person working today 8/6/22 at noon, deserves a raise and another human to assist.

The staff at this restaurant seem to feel entitled and appear unwilling to perform their duties until closing time. It’s astonishing that I arrived over an hour before closing, only to find the lights off and no one inside. On my last visit to this Subway, the employee who assisted us was rude and unprofessional, as if we were a burden for her to do her job. It seems that these young workers don't appreciate that they primarily serve marines, who have far more demanding jobs than simply making sandwiches. The least they could do for those who serve our country is to ensure they are fed until the actual closing time.

The woman who identifies herself as the manager could benefit from some customer service training. She was incredibly rude; I saw her speak condescendingly to a Marine who was simply paying for his sandwich. I believe her name is Hearson (spelling may vary). Management should understand how to communicate respectfully with customers. Her behavior was very unprofessional.

The restaurant is clean and well-staffed. I really appreciated that they still remember the old menu since I'm not a fan of the new one. They were generous with the ingredients, and the Italian BMT was fresh and flavorful. The location is perfect—right next to the Del Mar Cottages and conveniently close to a mini mart as well!
