Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Oceanside. We stopped in for brunch, just for a drink and a small bite. It's quite small inside but they had a spot at the bar. I had the breakfast in bed drink (so good) and the Nasi Goreng which is fried rice with pork belly, shrimp and egg on top. It was amazingly good! I would definitely come back for dinner because I can imagine it would be wonderful! View all feedback.
What Talia Trantow doesn't like about Dija Mara:
dina mara used to be one of our fav spot, but we haven't gone back since our last visit to dec when we noticed that every dish had changed from its original recipe, both ingredient and taste as result. we asked why and was told the cook that he left. it is regrettable, but hope whoever is the new cook can create a better menu of his/her own View all feedback.
They gave themselves a star on their sign, but five seems closer to the brand we tried lots and liked lots, the natural wines were all strange Isch, but in an interesting and tasty way that asked us to try another and then one more,
Oh, where you start with this place! I found this place when I moved to San Diego. So far I was the best restaurant this year. All on the menu is unbelievable, standouts for me are the homemade grilled Roti, carburized Aubergine, Tofu-Rendang and the Panna Cotta. Beets by Bali is my favorite drink on the menu. They also have a wide selection of natural wines that we get to share a bottle with the table, and were not disappointed.
They do not have the full indo menu, but every dish on their brunch today was filled with the perfect spices...will definitely come back here to try out there dinner.
It was difficult to imagine paying what we were going to, but the lack of Indonesian restaurants and the shear deliciousness of each dish, and libation, awards them our full endorsement! If you're dining in Oceanside, go! So good. We can recommend the Dija Hangover (with anything bubbly I had the Lychee mimosa) and both the Gado Gado and the hanger steak and eggs with the Dija Monkey.
Great food. Honestly one of the best spots in San Diego. Always make a point to come visit once every couple months. Their egg plant is fire. So is there short rib rendang. Great natural wine selection.
