This was our second visit to Blade 1936 within two weeks, and we were not disappointed in the least. The service, the food, the wine selection, the support staff, and the management team all ensure a truly wonderful dining experience. View all feedback.
What Lucia LL doesn't like about Blade 1936:
I wouldn't recommend this place for take-out. We had to wait 25 minutes after being told it would only take a few minutes when we arrived at the scheduled time. The dishes from the kitchen just sat there the entire time while they delayed starting on the pizzas. The food was decent, but I was really let down by the service. View all feedback.
Marinera sauce with the Arancini Siciliani (Sicilian Riceball) appetizer, was absolutely delicious, I have no words to describe how thick, smooth, creamy, rich tasteful this sauce is! Fantastic! You get 2 rice balls, crammed full of flavorful mozzarella cheese. My main dish was the Scaloppine di Pollo ai Funghi which is chicken with mushrooms which comes with seasoned vegetables cooked to absolute perfection, hot crispy carrots green beans with a fair scoop of seasoned mashed potatoes topped with the juices from the wine soaked seared chicken and CD. Sorry no photos, it was too late, I dug in with my first bite and could not stop eating. For dessert I went for ita ll with a Nutella filled calzone covered with fresh fruit powdered sugar including a scoop of fresh vanillaice cream, careful this dish could feed 6 all by itself. Gotva photo for this. Enjoy please try any dish, I can 't imagine a place with such a great flavor size serving you could ever get anything but great food. I will be back
Excellent service, and use very good ingredients .They use the real Caputo flour from Italy. The best Neapolitana pizza around the Calamari and Insalata di fragole is good must go and can't wait to taste the pasta. Thanks again
We read reviews, some not great but we took our chances. Service is a bit slow but we’ll worry it. And being on vacation, we were happy not to be rushed. We had an all meat pizza, rigatoni with mushroom, sausage and pink sauce and raviolis that were ricotta filled and also with pink sauce (marinara with cream). The bruschetta as an appetizer with fresh tomatoes and burrata cheese was one of the best we’ve had! Well worth the slower service! We will definitely be back.
We decided to have dinner here last minute. We were seated in less than 8 mins, the staff is super friendly and personable. The patio has nice low lighting, good ambiance for any occasion. The pizza is excellent. Definitely recommend the spicy salami pizza.
Amazing! The ambience, the room, the decor, the smell of the building, I know that sounds strange, but this is an old building and with my hypersensitive olfactory glands makes it important) makes this a must for locals and visitors alike. The food is fresh, authentic and perfectly cooked. I had Ravioli expecting me to feel inflated, which was not the case. My husband had the steak that was so well prepared that he could cut it with a butter knife. For the desert we had the Tiramisu that I couldn't finish. It is large enough for 2 people. I've never had such a good Italian dinner. You even have a date night special in the week. I think it's Wednesday night and $65 for the date night, but I'd probably call. I saw a private room on the back I suspect is a large area for any celebration or business meeting. The bar is well filled and the champagne is delicious. This will be our regular visit. People may think it's loud because of the location near the transit station, but it's really pretty and safe. Parking is easy to find. If there is no parking on the street, there is a large public free parking structure less than one block away. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
