The food qua... read more I've eaten at The 101 twice during my numerous visits to Oceanside over the past few years, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The food quality was subpar; even the French fries were greasy, soggy, and lukewarm upon serving. The salad was limp and wilted, featuring browning iceberg lettuce. While The 101 is a well-known spot on the main street in Oceanside and might be worth a visit just for coffee, I cannot recommend the food.

Their description of this authentic old diner piqued my curiosity about the food and service. It turned out to be more than just the history. Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed a fantastic meal. It's clear that this place isn't just about its past—it's no surprise it has been thriving for nearly 80 years!
