Great friendly staff and a huge selection of scooped and soft serve ice cream. Great location just off the sea isle exit of the GSParkway and 2 blocks off rt.9
The owner implies that my husband somehow manipulated the staff into taking back the drink, preparing two small cones in their secure building, and then handing them out the window without payment. Regarding parking across the street, I live in the area, and it is common for people to use the empty lot; there's nothing unusual about it. Your lot is cramped, and it makes me uneasy with so many people and kids around. All of this drama over one drink. Now the owner suggests that the two small cones cost $19, which is entirely irrelevant since my husband only asked for an equivalent exchange. Additionally, they should check their security footage to see how many times we've visited just this week—we likely spent around $75. It’s perfectly reasonable to dislike a drink and request a replacement without feeling harassed or unsafe! Lastly, if your staff made a mistake in what they handed my husband during this exchange, it's shameful that you expect your young staff to absorb that cost. It's your responsibility to support your employees. We visited tonight with my husband and daughter. We ordered a milkshake and two smoothies, which took 20 minutes to prepare while the line got longer. When I finally received my drink, the staff member looked visibly annoyed that our order took so long. If they had informed us that it wasn’t convenient, we would have chosen something else. After we drove away, I found my drink to be awful—it tasted like crushed ice mixed with overly sweet fruit syrup. We turned around to return it and exchanged my $10 drink for two small cones. When my husband and daughter returned to the car where I was waiting, another customer sped after us, taking pictures of our license plate. This left me feeling terrified, fearing someone was chasing us and photographing my car and young child. When I called to address the issue shortly afterward, I was told no one could speak with me about it—which is strange. Overall, we felt unwelcome and completely unsafe. What a shame; I thought we had found a new go-to dessert spot.
Was not impressed with their ice cream. There are many other ice cream stands in the area that are much more tasty.
Honestly worth checking out if you’re an ice cream lover. They have a huge variety of things you can order. I ordered the Oreo avalanche and it tasted like a better quality blizzard from Dairy Queen. Although I enjoyed the avalanche it could have used more Oreo in it. Other then that very good and will definitely be back to try other items!
