This restaurant is fantastic! As someone who has tried a lot of pizza from high-end places in New York City and even Chicago, I was really impressed. The staff is also very friendly. The pizza has a delicious crust, unlike the soggy ones you might get from a regular pizza place. The toppings are just right, not too excessive. It's a great place that I highly recommend visiting. I had the opportunity to eat here as a Dine-In guest, Carry-Out guest and mostly as a supplier. my first visit was as Dine-In gast and after the order of the family sized, mondo combo I was certainly taken back by the price. that was my first visit here, and I still did not know that as a tourist city so isolated from normal distribution routes, almost everything for sale here - from motor oil at the gas station to yogurt at the iga- has added an additional surcharge ', which is most common of the trucks. everything is out of this reason more expensive, but add them to him well old-fashioned American capitalism and each lender of were for sale realizes that they pay a premium for everything when the next alternative includes a 45 minutes, 25 miles back to reclaim. it is an actual thing of life here and in any tourism that is seasonally populated. so for all the tourists who complain that everything is so expensive, they are right. because for the nine months from the year that there are only 5,000 of us here, these companies must stay in business!/ as a pleasant surprise when my pizza arrived in the first night, it was shockingly great, and in retrospect, every penny worth! the beats, although some complained too thick, are actually what I would consider right. For example, pfeffer are warm enough to have them a light wrap while keeping their crisp interior. cheese is creamy and melted, and neither too little nor too much of it is used - a problem that is common in pizzerias nationally. it was hard to judge the atmosphere of the dining room in this night, as it was outside the season, near the closing time, and so not the ideal experience. all dinge considered, especially the helpful, friendly staff, dining-in was a hit!/ the next time I ordered, was the delivery, or it should be, but I discovered that, although the restaurant was their hours opened up to 10:00 in the night, they actually stopped supplying (or at least accept order for delivery) at 9:00 and this was a big disappointment. I had not yet accused of beach living' and so the thought not only to have what I wanted when I wanted it, and could not demand that it be dropped in front of my house door when I had decided to have no internal sanitation or electricity. (it does not take long to live on the beach to reprogram itself, but, and soon we all take a relaxed, it will be here if there is a kind of posture that makes for a peaceful and much stress-free life than most of us earlier lead when we live in the big city. it is that slower tempo, easy walking tempo of life in general, most of them tourist here anyway...so why not relax a little and take them a minute to remember themselves, they are on vacation. on the beach...and then ask themselves how bad could this be?/the delivery is my go-to cook’s night off dinner source and I give it to her that is so much that her pizza is so it is delivered in an hour or less the most of the time (for those who complain, it is too slow, they feel free to me directly for a logistics chart, so I can explain how the lack of patient people have in the more a case of ignorance on the actual circumstances. Despite the usually last about 45 minutes to reach me, the pizza is always, as, includes teller, forks, serviettes, 3 cheese mix and pfeffer flakes for the corresponding number of portions. This crust is of course a question of taste, but as a published cookbook author and proud Italian cook, which has baked hundreds of brot brot and probably twice as many pizza crusts, I can assure them that it perfectly crusted on the outer dish ' while stay delicate but cooked on the inside. it is a truly authentic experience and I hope that they get the chance to say hello to the owners and employees on their next visit. they make a great job and it often goes unchallenged!
We've had their pizza before, and it's terrific! The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back when we visit Ocean Shores again. Thanks, Dugan's!!
We are visiting Ocean Shores and decided to give Dugans a try. The service was very friendly, quick and clean! Our order was flawless and delivered with plates, forks, parmesan cheese and not just a glass of ice water....but it included a lemon slice. I am impressed! They boxed our left overs and even provided napkins and more cheese packets to go! All of this totally surpassed my expectations. The cost is reasonable enough. Oh-and the clean part? One of the workers was wiping down the shelves where the clean pizza pans are. It's not everyday you see this attention to detail in a pizzeria!
I 've had the opportunity to eat here as a Dine-In Guest, a Carry-Out Guest, and most often as a Delivery Customer. My first visit was as a Dine-In Guest and after ordering the Family Sized, 'Mondo Combo, ' I was certainly taken aback by the price. That was my first visit here, and I didn 't yet realize that as a tourist town so isolated from normal distribution routes, nearly everything available for sale here--from motor oil at the gas station to yogurt at the IGA--has an added 'surcharge ' that is most often added on by the trucking companies that deliver the good here. EVERYTHING is more expensive for that reason, but add to it good old fashioned American Capitalism and any purveyor of goods for sale recognizes you will pay a premium for EVERYTHING when the next alternative involves a 45 minute, 25 mile drive back to Aberdeen. It 's a fact of life here--and in any tourism based, seasonally populated town. So to all the tourists who complain that everything is so expensive here, you 're right, it is...because for the nine months out of the year that there are only 5,000 of us living here, these businesses need to stay in business!<br/ <br/ As a pleasant surprise, when my pizza arrived that first night, it was shockingly large, and in hindsight, worth every penny! The toppings, though complained about by some as being too thick, are actually what I would consider just right. Peppers, for instance, are warm enough to have a slight wilt to them, while retaining their crisp interior. Cheese is creamy and melted, and neither too little nor too much of it is used--a problem common in pizzerias nationally. It was hard to judge the atmosphere of the dining room that night as it was off-season, close to closing time, and so not the 'ideal ' experience. All things considered, especially the helpful, friendly staff, Dining-In was a hit!<br/ <br/ The next time I ordered was delivery, or it was supposed to be, but I discovered that although the restaurant was posting their hours as being open until 10:00 PM that night, they actually stopped delivering (or at least accepting order for delivery) at 9:00 and this was a big disappointment. I hadn 't acclimated to 'Beach Living ' yet and so the thought of not just having what I wanted, when I wanted it, and couldn 't demand it be dropped at my doorstep when I chose was akin to having no indoor plumbing or electricity. (It doesn 't take long living at the beach to reprogram yourself, however, and soon we all take on a relaxed, 'It 'll get here when it gets here, ' kind of attitude which makes for a peaceful and much more stress-free life than most of us used to lead when we lived in the big city. It 's that slower paced, easy-going pace of life in general that brought most of you tourists here as well...so why not relax a bit and take a minute to remind yourself you 're on vacation...at the beach...and then ask yourself this, Just how bad could this be?<br/ <br/ Delivery is my go-to Cook 's Night Off dinner source and I admit it, their pizza is so incredibly tasty that it actually encourages me to be lazy and cook at home far less often. It 's delivered in an hour or less most of the time (to those complaining it 's too slow, feel free to email me directly for a logistics diagram so that I can explain how the lack of patience people have is usually more a case of ignorance to the actual circumstances. Despite usually taking about 45 minutes to reach me, the pizza is always how, includes plates, forks, napkins, 3 cheese blend and hot pepper flakes for the appropriate number of servings. THe crust is a matter of taste of course, but as a published cookbook author and proud Italian cook who has baked hundreds of loaves of bread and likely twice as many pizza crusts, I can assure you it 's perfectly crusty on the outer 'shell ' while remaining tender but cooked on the inside. It 's a truly AUTHENTIC experience and I hope you get the chance to say hello to the owners and staff on your next visit. They 're doing a great job and it often goes unappreciated!
We drove into Ocean Shores much later than planned. Not familiar with area, family starving. Urban spooned pizza and Dugan 's popped up. Called and found out they closed in 15 minutes. I asked if it was possible to order something, guy that answered phone cheerfully said yes and proceeded to hook up up with an amazing family size pepperoni and extra cheese pizza, paper products, canned soda, jalapenos 'on the side ', even milk for my little girl. Pizza was great, customer service rocked. We 'd choose Dugan 's again!
