Mellow Mushroom - Ocean Lakes

I had given this location a 2 star review several years ago, but they have really bounced back from it. The past two times that I went everything was great!

Visited mellow mushroom for the first time, and the food was good, but unfortunately, the time we spent waiting for it was outrageous. I’m not exaggerating when I say it took an hour and 10 minutes for a table with three adults and one child to receive their food when there was maybe four tables in the restaurant. And then the kitchen”lost the ticket” to my four year olds pizza so he waited even longer. Waitress was nice, but a complete ditz.

Just wanted to let you know I used to work at this location and I was wrongfully fired by Andrea. I did call Andrea saying that I was in the hospital before my phone was taken from me at the hospital I don't know mellow mushroom phone number by heart and the hospital would not give me my phone to get phone number so i had no way of calling to let anyone know where i was. So they had no right firing me.

Mellow mushrooms are tourist traps and are in every tourist city. Everything is premade or in a bag and reheated .. they suck you in with the decorations like a rainforest cafe not sure why anyone goes here

Everything was fine until....... So my wife and special needs adult son went to MM. Food was good until my son spit something that bounced on his plate. At first I thought he had cracked a tooth, then we saw a fairly large round hard object in the middle of his plate. My wife picked it up and took it over to the register and asked for the manager. She came out and said sorry. Then she said she had heard someone in the back had broken a bracelet. Ok..... When the bracelet was broken into the food why didn't they get rid of the food where it was broken? Better to just wait and see? So she comped the pizza but not the rest of the meal. She seemed oblivious to the fact the leaving a bracelet piece in the pizza was both a sanitation and a safety issue and NOT we screwed up your pizza but not your drinks. They ruined the entire meal. We could care less if we had to pay for a couple drinks. We are offended that the manager showed zero remorse for an employee losing jewelry into the pizza ingredients that could have easily choked someone,, Bad decisions throughout the process.
