Food was decent.. Betterhalf liked her chocolate martinis. Place closes pretty early and not buzy by any means but that could just be due to the season..overall not a bad View all feedback.
Oh I really wanted to have a great lunch experience Dirty Dons, but it was not to be. Oysters are one of favorite things on the planet. Friday few minutes before noon hour, entered NMB location. Party of 3 directly ahead of me. Host seated them returned to seat me promptly. Only 1 person working front of house so he was multi tasking, seems like he’d done it before. Checked out laminated menu, looking for lunch, but none to be found. Hand helds other entrees priced at upper end of range. Drinks delivered promptly to both tables, only 2 tables occupied, and orders taken. I settled on the “Oyster Basket”, I mean they promote themselves as “Oyster Bar” right and there were several other oyster choices available. I choose the basket, priced $16.99-that’s good-and ice tea $3.00. Basket comes with one side, fries were suggested by waiter. Here’s where it gets a bit sticky. Wait for food was reasonable, delivered in red plastic basket lined with paper. Silverware presented in plastic sleeve required wiping down. My basket contained 10 of the smallest oysters I’ve ever seen. I didn’t know you could harvest them this size. Largest one maybe the size of a nickel, most could be completely concealed under a dime. Not kidding. Breading and cook looked ok so I dug in. Of the 10 served, 3 were eatable, others were impossible to chew and I discarded in my napkin. Fries now were good well seasoned. Waiter checked on me twice refilled my tea-good tea-when I requested. My total was north of $25.00 with tip. So, recapping, Dirty Dons is attractive, centrally located, reasonably clean although I suspect parking maybe an issue when they’re busy, and nicely decorated. My food experience was not what I’d expected. Will I return or recommend? At this point no. They’ve been around a long time and hopefully changes can be made to improve the dining experience. Properly managed it could be a fantastic addition to NMB restaurant choices.
Casual dining spot with decent seafood. We had the parm oysters and they were ok. We also ordered the chicken strip, fish and shrimp platter. The chicken was so so but the shrimp and fish were great. The hush puppies were delicious. We sat at the bar and Jim was our Bartender and he was very kind and helpful.

Nothing special here! 2nd attempt but just as bad as the 1st. You can do much better!
If I could give zero stars I would. First we got there specifically during Happy Hour to get specials and was told there are none except one which wasn’t anything we wanted. Husband ordered oysters and asked if they could be roasted and was told “I can ask” so he settled for raw ones. AFTER we ate the waitress says “oh I don’t know until now but we do have a special on roasted oysters today”. Asked them to adjust our bill since she gave false info and we had specifically asked twice for what needed up being a special and they wouldn’t do it. So we got food that wasn’t our preference and paid double because the waitress didn’t bother to find out answers to questions we asked. Bought a tshirt (before all of that happened) asked for an XL and got home to discover it was a size Large. Huge waste of money. Will NEVER go back.
