Crab cakes, fried scallops, fresh corn on the cob, and baked potatoes were delicious! Children had french fries which we all enjoyed!

We had a dozen steamed crabs at $78/dozen for either medium or large. The crabs tasted good but were on the small side and very pricey. Service was great though and we also got a salad which was good and a pound of steamed shrimp which was also high at $35/pound but they were good. Overall the food is good but it is pricey.

After our first choice restaurant was closed, we happened upon Higgins in our quest for good seafood. Was busy but not overly crowded so sat at bar. Service there was friendly and prompt. Mixed drinks were well made, not watered down. Steamed shrimp was excellent, fresh and my wife’s Alaskan crab legs starter she said was the best she ever had. Excellent, sweet, fresh and served hot. She had crab imperial and I had a crab cake sandwich, both excellent and once again, served hot as food should be. We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was and glad we stopped. Ford and service was excellent. As I suppose it is elsewhere in a beach town post COVID, we thought prices were steep. But we agreed it was worth it when you’re served such excellent seafood. We’re adding Higgins North to our try again restaurant list as there’s more to offer here than just crabs.

The food was good but we got takeout and it was SLOW. I think we waited for our food for about 45 minutes. The staff members were super-friendly and other than the price and the long wait, it would have been a good experience.

We went for hard crabs and to sit outside and eat crabs. We got a dozen Jumbo crabs for $156 and were very excited. We enjoyed hush puppies right away that were delicious. We ordered french fries to munch on while the crabs cooked but the crabs and the French fries came at the same time. Obviously we got warmed over crabs because they were not moist. 2 of the crabs were mushy and we couldn’t eat them. What they call jumbo we’re not jumbo to my standards. Very disappointed. We did not complain. When we get a bad meal we just don’t return.
