El Mezcal Mexican - Ocala

If I could give no stars, I would. Never in my life, have I ever experienced such poor quality of Mexican cuisine in my life. I ordered a chile reńo, and what was brought to me was overly greasy, un seasoned, stinky beef wrapped in soggy spinach. I know the meat they served was old and they just microwaved it and served it. I don’t know what exactly it was they thought a chile reńo is but what I was served, I wouldn’t even feed my dog. My husband had the seafood fajitas- shrimp and scallops were pure rubber and it had no seasoning except for a fishy taste. I know the seafood wasn’t fresh and I don’t want to know how old it actually was. Please, save your money and time and gut health. Just go to the store and buy canned Mexican food. You’re better off.

Beautiful night for dinner outside. Got a pitcher of beer and then no service after that. No one came back to take our dinner order. Others were seated around us and after us and servers were attentive to them. We left without dinner. Maybe just a bad night.

We love coming to El Mezcal! They always allow my husband to order a roasted jalapeño on the side. I have never had a dish I didn't like. The margaritas are the best!

Great Mexican food in a nice location. The staff members are friendly with quick service.

We absolutely loved the inside and all the art. I will go there to just look at the walls. Honestly the food wasn't special, they over do it with the sauces and it just looked kinda bland. But it's a place to eat and it's interesting so we will be back.
