Aquí se viene a tomar Ginja, un licor muy fuerte que dispensan en muchos puestos en vasitos de chocolate, y los pasteles de arroz.
We had to go not far along the central road in obidos to find the kirschlikör, or to use the right name, ginginha do carmo. there are a series of caffes and other outlets that are sold by small stands on the street side. her. all calculate the same price, €1. this caffe was very practical, and I must say the drink, served in a small chocolate cup with a small handle was delicious. only the fuel needed to climb the city walls. I have not taken up a close-up image of the cup, but it is only visible on the wood surface and in the poster attached to the front of the stand.
We visited during the hot weather and did not want to eat a long meal for lunch; we kidnapped in the small load, got hearty empanadas and flaky pasteis de nata to go and ate them lick our fingers in the village square....Everything very tasty and very affordable.
We stopped by in the morning for a quick snack and...ginjinhas! It was nothing to fancy, we ate some pastries and then moved on with our trip! We didn't stay for coffe because it was full of flies...
Best coffee and pastry in this scenic towns of castles and churches. locals are awesome and make you feel welcomed
