we stayed in bar arco da cadeia on two separate occasions to get a drink and a nisch. especially we enjoyed their (limited) outside seats under the arch. it was a wonderful place to rest and watch people. both the drinks and the tapas we tried were wonderful. View all feedback.
What Yên Hàng doesn't like about Bar Arco da Cadeia:
We ordered two white Ports on the leafy terrace and got very ordinary stuff at more then twice the price any bar in this country had ever charged us. Beware, or ask for the menu before you order! View all feedback.
One of the oldest buildings in obidos is now a bar. the thick walls and locked windows helped him to survive the earthquake of 1755, which destroyed many other buildings, and now it is a wonderful bar well occupied, good choice.
Wonderful staff who knows well. only nice eating. high recommended. good historical location. beautiful roasted cheese!

Already the way we were seated made us feel unwelcome. We ordered an order of tapas and a few drinks. The tapas were not very good and about a third of the sausages were burned to a crisp. When we pointed this out, the waitress,...Katia, shrugged and said this is how they were supposed to be. We asked that she taste them and she just shrugged and threw them out. We were charged for them anyway. An unpleasant experience and our worst meal in Portugal.
Went to this narrow street randomly walking lost about in the wall city and found this lil gem cause it was the only thing open after every restaurant had closed for the afternoon and i must say it was quite a delight finding this small...place under the secular arches from the XII century... The staff is very friendly and will treat you very nicely. The bar looks pretty cool with all the swords and shields and metal work on the walls that make it look like its from the dark ages, with a huge fireplace and comfy atmosphere. The food is pretty good, i would recomend the flambe chorizo with cachaça, and the wine list which was pretty good as well. I recomend this place to everyone visiting Óbidos to have a great time over drinks or eating you just gotta look for it or do what i did... get lost and discover a new place!
