Carsten's Cafe - Bistro - Oberhof

After three days of walking on the rennsteig we have also landed in the upper courtyard and have left the last day of the extended weekend. it was fine at first. on the way back of a walk through the upper courtyard, we thought, after it was nice to eat there too evening.Brats with kartoffel salad and a large salate with chicken breast. the salat was rather medium-sized and for the price too small.The bratsl was not really convincing, the potato salad actually tasted good.On the note that in the potato salad there was a piece of packaging material that looked like a piece of tetrapack - about in the size of a cent piece, so that it was carsten after he could not have been out of the kitchen.

Were in the restaurant for dinner. carving with pommes and black-back steak with croquettes and self-made gypsy sauce. we never had so much pommes. everything freshly prepared. you heard that fried in the kitchen in the pan. the outside area was also well visited on the afternoon. prices are completely fine.Bistro is completely understatement. better restaurant.

Cozy and cozy caffe with an excellent menu, delicious pastries and a great selection of drinks. great atmosphere and friendly service.

Friendly service, absolutely delicious cake and a rustic ambiente. we're coming back. absolutely recommended, because also centrally located. the raw huntertee, the keo tee and the apple pie has tasted us super.

We could eat outside in the carsten’s cafe. we had a carving and a dessert that cost as much as nothing and was quite well prepared. the service was fast and on the point. I would recommend this wholeheartedly if they stayed in oberhof, especially in summer.
