Arrived relatively late (8pm ish) after struggling with traffic in Munich, and a number of the meals on the ‘menu’ (chalked up on the hut) had gone, but they rustled us up a fantastic pork schnitzel each and an extremely fresh mixed salad with a delicious light, dill-flavoured dressing. Friendly and helpful service all round. Great choice of beer. Lovely outdoor seating in summer. Seemed like a pretty new venture. Th... View all feedback.
What Inka Heinz doesn't like about Ammergauer Hof:
The restaurant was lower medium when I ate there, so it is a good thing that it has closed its doors for being an eatery in Oberammergau. It still offers rooms for rent, however I cannot rate this since I did not stay over night. View all feedback.
Friendly staff and stylish room. Great location close to the center of the village. The breakfast was good. Quiet area.
Breakfast was a welcomed treat each morning. Essentially a Continental Breakfast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, pasties and buns etc. Coffee was excellent!
A very nice Hotel. Our room was excellent overlooking the front of the property. The rooms were very clean and the owners were very, very helpful with suggestions for our trips out. I had been to Oberammergau exactly 55 years ago on a trip with my school and I must say quite a lot has changed in the village, but, then again, I did recognise the general layout. It was just a very short stroll into the village from the Hotel. I would certainly return there again, if I ever return to Oberammergau.
A superb steak in a lovely warm environment. Excellent service from proprietors. Would go back anytime.
The atmosphere is nice, but a bit noisy, but the food is great.
