We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The vegan sausages with mash, gravy, and sweets were delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and the prices are good.
The Lorne is a great spot for enjoying a drink and some vegan pub food options that may seem typical, but taste really delicious. The vegan Haggis bites were especially impressive. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was lovely. Overall, a great experience. Updated review as of June 9, 2022.
The Lorne Bar is a charming establishment with a beautiful bar inside. We visited as part of a meal deal from the Ranald Hotel. Due to the main chef being off, they had a limited menu available. My options were haggis bites, a vegan beef or chicken style burger, and a vegan sundae. Despite their normal menu having more vegan options, these were the only choices. I opted for the beef style burger and the sundae. The burger was delicious, although it came in a brioche bun and I was unsure if it was truly vegan. The sundae consisted of three scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with Oreos. While the food did the job, I don't feel compelled to return for another visit.
