That was our best meal in Oaxaca by far. The reviews were mixed, but our service was very cunning. The food was delicious and they make your salsa at the table that is a beautiful touch. So much better than originals that should be avoided. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Casa Oaxaca Restaurant:
Unfortunately, our recent visit to Casa Oaxaca was very thorough. Our waiters wanted to turn every table. We sat and were immediately asked for food and drinking orders, then very impatient to wait and slow down the experience on the roof with beautiful views....The food was not as delicious as previous visits. And again the servers quickly picked up dishes. View all feedback.

This restaurant is very famous and there is a reason for it. The food is perfect, it is traditional but very demanding. If you want to taste traditional ingredients like the gusano de maguey, chapulines, chicanas and more, order the “Tostada de insectos”. You don't have to... the shrimps, they are definitely the best thing on the menu.

This place came highly recommended mainly due to the fresh salsa at the table as well as the reputation of the chef. The food definitely did not disappoint, however, if you are looking for fresh salsa at the table, delicious food, AND an atmosphere to...match the price, I would choose Tierra del Sol over this. Menus at casa oaxaca were stained and reused, and it felt like they were trying to turn over as many tables as possible. Feels like a tourist trap at this point in time, despite the delicious food. Portions were a good size though, and we did leave very satisfied.
We went to this restaurant expecting to receive great food and great service at a more than average price. Well the more then average price was certainly that! All other expectations failed. The drink presentation was lacking as was the service. The food was tasty...but in short supply. Pretty presentation holds no water for me or my guests. After this “Wonderful “ event we went out for dinner at another restaurant.
