It was difficult to pick a bakery to visit while passing through Oamaru, as there are many great options listed on Google Maps. I'm so glad we chose Delectables... read more It was difficult to pick a bakery to visit while passing through Oamaru, as there are many great options listed on Google Maps. I'm so glad we chose Delectables. The cakes we bought were incredible and simply the best I've ever tasted. The South Island is known for its consistently excellent baking, and this bakery is a prime example of that. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful, and she made a fantastic cup of coffee, which was a nice bonus. If you're a coffee lover like I am, that's definitely important!

They’re the only ones in the area that open so early, and I truly appreciate them for providing such a wonderful breakfast option at that hour. Thank you for taking care of me in the morning!

The pies we pu... read more It was hard to choose a bakery to stop at on our way through Oamaru. There are a few great options on Google maps. I'm glad we chose Delectables. The pies we purchased were amazing and had easily the best pastry ever. The south Island has consistently good pies and this is an example of the best. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. She made some excellent coffee, keep her on. If you're a pie tourist like me, this is essential. Great work.
