I had a quiet dinner night with my mother in Noble Bistro and I highly recommend this restaurant. We had the fried Calamari, Paella and Hummer Linguine, everything was delicious and a good portion size. If you are looking for exceptional food and service, I recommend. I'll be back. I visited Noble for the first time this past weekend and had a lovely experience. The outdoor patio by the lakeshore was delightful, and the large umbrellas provided much-needed shade on a hot day. I shared the lobster linguine, seared tuna salad, and mussels, and I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! They were all rich and bursting with flavor. While it’s on the pricier side, the quality of the food makes it worth it. The staff were friendly and eager to recommend dishes that offered great value for money. I learned they changed their head chef last year, so they now focus more on seafood, although they do have one chicken dish on the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!
Solid seafood restaurant. Had the platter sized fried calamari (was ok, they sliced it very thin and I would prefer thicker) as well as the sea bass main (incredibly well done and cooked to perfection with an excellent crisp skin) and lobster linguine (good volume of lobster but the sauce lacked a depth of flavour). Overall good. But this place is pricey as well.
In the middle of the week, I went to Noble Bistro as a surprise dinner. The restaurant was practically empty. It is a big restaurant with simple wooden decors with few arts on the wall. When I was reading the menu... I couldn't figure out what type cuisine this restaurant offers. When our waiter came, my yelping mode came out. I started to ask questions about this place. Information: Their cuisine is Chef inspired Farm to Fork cuisine, and chef of this restaurant JohnRoss Woodland, who is named one of the best 30 chefs under 30 in Chopped Canada. Impressive!!! The waiter was impressed with my inquiries, so he offered a tasting menu and each dish would be a surprise and he asked me if had any restrictions. I did have two restrictions, and he said no problem with it. First, my beautiful looking appetizer comes with a white wine (based California); I get seared scallops with cauliflower purée mixed with wild mushrooms and asparagus. It was so delicious, i heard myself making noises ...hmmmm! Second, my main meal was Black Sea bass with black pasta, grape tomatoes and pesto purée. It was perfect portion and every single bite of dish was heaven; it came with another glass of wine (based New Zealand).Third, my exotic looking desert, deconstructed strawberry pistachio shortcake, on the side strawberry sorbet with limoncello; it was an absolute delight. Best of it, it wasn't too sweet. I just loved it. What an awesome service we had! What a delicious surprise was this tasting menu. This place is a gem for Oakville residents!
OMG, disappointing. Food temperature was the first issue grilled calamari came out slightly warm, not hot. Seared Tuna was out of the fridge, and I mentioned both to the waiter, who then just stopped being his chatty descriptive self and just kept serving the food in silence. BTW a few shreds of vegetables under the food do not deserve the description of our homemade slaw with every dish you serve. To be fair, the charcuterie board shrimp and scallop and the oysters were good . The soft shell crab was overpriced and did not compare with the ones I 've had elsewhere like MYE2. We eventually got the manager 's attention and pointed out the mussels, and she had them redone, still not up to par, but I had given up at that point and realized this was their quality level. We ordered a Spanish coffee, figuring that would be hard to screw up ..Boy, was I wrong. It was ****; there were no words, we did not even finish it. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, and I expected better.
About a month ago, I became very ill after eating their Caesar salad. The day after, I called the restaurant to inform them that I was the only one at the table who had the salad, while everyone else shared other dishes and was perfectly fine, including my two-year-old. They took my name and number and assured me they would follow up, but I never heard back from them—not even an apology. Initially, I thought it might have been some dairy issue that they overlooked, so I didn't want to make a scene. However, today I learned about the E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce, and it all clicked. They clearly don't wash their salads! This is particularly concerning coming from a fine dining restaurant. I'm very disappointed, especially since my previous experience there was wonderful. It's really disheartening.
