Use the Groupon and came with my family (3 kids). We came at lunch time. Not that busy. The chef didn't talk too much. I guess because no audience. My youngest kid really enjoy the 'show'. Almost the same show with other teppanyaki show in USA. Overall not too bad experience. We got salad and sushi and and the end we got ice cream. The fried rice was good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hibachi:
If you want a nice dinner - do NOT go here. You will be rushed even is half the restaurant is empty. The minute you get the menu the server is hounding you for your drinks order suggesting an overpriced but slightly above average sake, and even before he brings your drinks he is asking for your order and starting to serve your dinner. We've been to teppanyaki restaurants in the US, Canada and Caribbean. This was just ok. The chef was bored. The food was fine. The bill was steep. Lots of up-charges - everyone wants fried rice - just add it to the price for goodness sake.
The pad location next to Home Depot can be disappointment but don't let that scare you away. The tepanyaki at Hibachi is as good as it gets. Attentive staff, expertly trained chefs, fresh quality ingredients and overall good value. No need to drive all the way down to Benihana at the Royal York.
We had a reservation for 6pm and arrived promptly. Food was served immediately, each course either simultaneously or on top of each other. At 7:15, we were just about finished our glass of wine when we were told by one of the staff that we needed to vacate our seats so that they could seat others. Really? Could they not have waited 5 more minutes for us to finish? Is an hour and 15 minutes the maximum time allowed for dinner?Embarrassing and we'll never go back.
Robert at Hibachi oakville was very good. This is the 1st time ive come here and received an excellent service. We were a group of 11 ppl and he was so patient and provided us with a prompt service. A 5 star for Robert!
