Had dinner there tonight. The food was great. Very fresh and well prepared. We shared the calamari which was very tender and the coating was light and very tasty. My wife had the jambalaya which was again, very tasty with just a little bite of spiciness. I had the duck poutine which was very rich and flavourful. Frites were to die for. The dessert was a crumble with several fruits. It had a rich and delicious fruit b... View all feedback.
What John Vadiveloo doesn't like about Harbourside Artisan Kitchen & Bar:
The service is very attentive. I had lunch here, fish and chips special, which was good. The fish was slightly over-fried and had a very dark brown colour, almost dark tobacco or mahogany, but the haddock inside still remained moist. Chips were better: thick cut, crispy on outside and soft on inside, with not too much salt. My lunch companion ordered the chicken and waffles, which was disappointing. The chicken was a... Cozy bistro with live entertainment on Friday nights. Short walk to the lake. Great food. Try the poutine, one of the best. Finish with a pecan pie.
Dropped in the first time on Canada Day with my wife. Didn't know the place existed. The copule who own/cook/serve were so welcoming. I had jambalaya which was excellent and my wife had chicken dish which was delicious. Service was fantastic and the chef came out to introduce himself and ask if everything was good. The se ond visit was a larger family. We were welcomed to stay past closing time. I had short ribs, and they were the best i ever had. This place has some of the best food you'll eat in any Oakville restaurant and the prices are very reasonable. Save room for desert if possible.
This small street front bistro style restaurant is a little jewel in the Bronte Village crown. Pleasant seating that's not at all crowded. Their menu variety allows it to all be made fresh in house. No frozen entrees or bottled sauces here including the deserts. Less than a year old they are a wonderful fresh addition to the area and a pleasant departure from "big box food chains". Two people can only sample so much in one visit. The house made Lime Chips and Salsa, the "Not-so-Caesar Salad" and Crab and Shrimp cakes. Great and tasty, yumm! Then there was the "Panko Haddock" catch of the day... What a delicious treat for this displaced Maritimer! And don't forget the pecan pie. We will be back.
A great casual bistro style restaurant in downtown Bronte. On Lakeshore Rd just a few blocks from the Marina (parking behind bld). A varied menu, great food and friendly staff make this a really enjoyable place to dine. The Crab & shrimp cakes are great and the beef short rib & vegetable casserole is the stick to your ribs choice.
Had dinner here on the recommendation of a friend. Nice, comfortable, décor, very good friendly service from the owner and the food perfectly cooked and presented. For dessert we had the bread pudding with bourbon sauce - the best and most authentic we have ever had. Prices were reasonable as well. The chef/owner came out to thank us for coming and to check everything was okay - a very nice touch. We will be back!
