Halibut House - Oakville

The dine in area is bright and airy. The seating is standard restaurant style. The food is very good. The signature Halibut and chips are hot and tasty. The does not go cold quickly. This is a major plus.I added scallops and shrimp. Also, I had a garden salad. You will be pleased. Go and enjoy. The kids menu is really good. Washrooms are clean.The grilled salmon is fine. Try it with the Pinot Grigio.Altogether, it was an enjoyable experience.

I was there last saturday tried their fried fish and chips they were really good but be careful if you are ordering the baked ones they are very bad especially Halibut. Tartar sauce and coleslaw could have been better if have some flavour. The service is terrible and servers are rude.

Fish and chips are their specialty, but they have everything else on the menu. Burgers, pitas, soulvaki, salads, sweet potatoe fries! I have only had the fish and chips but it's always good. Tender halibut with a light crisp coating. Staff are super friendly and quite obliging.

We went for lunch, the portions are ample, the service is good and prices are fair. Fish and chips the best value. I think I`ll stick to fish and chips if we go back.

The fish and chips are great, I can say the food is not consistent some days you get hard fries and older fish. Go for lunch and get better deal on the meals with bigger portions.
