Nikkei Sushi - Oakland

This place is amazing in so many ways. I have serious food allergies (alpha gal, which means I cannot touch anything from mammals or carageenan) and gluten intolerance, so I only eat out if I know the staff can take good care. Megu was amazingly understanding of my crazy allergies today and went out of her way to help me. I order DoorDash from here weekly and just tried their gluten free chicken Ramen and it's FIRE. Their sushi is amazing the fish is so fresh, and you really get a bang for your buck with the seafood. Definitely one of my new fave restaurants because you can never be too careful with food allergies...Rainbow Roll

Super cute restaurant . Service was great and food was to die for . They have really cute drinks that come with flowers . Perfect place for a date .

Ordered twice from here. First time was aight, 2nd time was all bad. Fish wasn 't fresh, wasabi didn 't make a paste with the soy sauce but rather made little small clumps of 'wasabi '. The wasabi had minimal flavor also-no nose burning. Sushi rice tasted and appeared old and was more like glue balls. Very highly disappointed and will not go back. Price too high for such poor tasting food. Alley cats would probably pass by this stuff.

I've been to a lot of sushi places and out of all the ones i've been to this one is the best.
