Awesome service and a fun/welcoming environment. I thought this would have been more pretentious since it's a 2 Michelin star restaurant but the staff was super nice. The food was unique and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there. View all feedback.
Loved the Asian and sea forward influences that come across in subtle, non obvious ways. Somehow I ended up comparing the intellect with Birdsong, but found it way more elegant and thoughtful (which is normal given the other restaurant's focus on traditional methods of cooking). The highlights were 1) the cocktail, Ode to Farallon, made with konbu, spirulina, sake, and gin, 2) congee, 3) cured egg yolk, 4) corn and soy custard with caviar, 5) tomatoes with hijiki xo sauce, 6) all desserts... I guess I liked everything so will stop here!
Took a party of 10 to a pre-fixe experience in gastronomy for my parents 50th golden anniversary. We'd been wanting an excuse to visit for at least a decade and it didn't disappoint! Excellent service and wine pairing by our personal sommelier/maitre de being a key delight. Although all dishes weren't wildly enjoyable to everyone, they were all very creative and memorable. For me, I especially disliked the tamarind jelly dessert (reminded me of a sour patch kid, and I wasn't expecting that at all), but I typically dislike desserts and it certainly was surprisingly striking and very flavorful! The hamachi tartare and trout roe with avocado appetizers were my favorites. The bone marrow pho would have been equally satisfying had it not been presented in a bone and not looked and felt in my mouth obviously like bone marrow/beef fat.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had! We went here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and it did not disappoint.
I had a very poor experience at this restaurant. I normally rate restaurants on the quality of the food, unless there is some other element that is so
Everyone was incredibly nice, and the service was very attentive (but not perfect;) however, the sterile, tomb-like marble interior does not reflect any of
