Had the lamb with broccolini. It was decently cooked and seasoned. Not a fan of the restaurant setup where one has to get up to order at the bar each time.
One of the major perks is that they stay open a bit later than other businesses on Piedmont. So if you're seeing a 7:30 movie at the Piedmont theater you can have a nice dinner and drinks after. Which is perfect if you're not done with the evening. The veggie tacos and fish tacos are equally delicious and the traditional cocktails are well executed.

Shrimp tacos and the matador drink are delicious! Miguel and Matt are great bartenders. I highly recommend this place.
Apparently, if you are not a regular here, you are invisible. There are too many good options in Oakland for food and drinks to waste your time and money here.

I’m a huge fan of this place. Great food, friendly staff. Very accommodating. Really can’t say enough good things.
I enjoyed a Valentine's Day dinner at this restaurant. We've visited several times, and I have to say that their carnitas are the best I've ever tasted. They also have a Fieldwork hazy IPA on tap that I absolutely love. The guacamole and Brussels sprouts were both fantastic, and the presentation of the dishes was excellent as well.
I ordered the Lamb Chops, and they were incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of flavor.
I was somewhat concerned making this reservation, especially on a busy day....MOTHERS DAY....and also because we were taking a family member from out of town there to also celebrate Mothers Day with us. We had great service.... Victor was very attentive and fun! Food was great...looked just like the photos on the website. Parking not an issue with the large parking lot behind the restaurant. I have already recommended this restaurant to my son who is in the restaurant business. We will return.
The food was exceptional. Some of the best home fries and huevos rancheros I have ever had. Thanks.

Good place to hang out. Nice staff, good drinks, good fresh food. Taco Tuesday is the best!
Drinks are on point. Definitely not watered down drinks. Ambiance is fantastic.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was very welcoming. I relaxed at the bar while waiting for my takeout order.
Great local Bar, very lively with a mature crowd. Good music. Tasty fresh food satisfying portions. Worth the try!
We came here to watch a football game, sat at the bar, and had a great experience. Food, drinks, and service were all excellent.

I visited on Thursday night and the bartender crafted one of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had. Oakland certainly knows how to impress!
I decided to try this restaurant because of its intriguing similarities to another spot I really enjoy. The chips and salsa were fresh, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat. The popcorn chicken was an interesting experience; it was quite sweet on its own, while the mango habanero salsa packed a punch in terms of spiciness. However, when combined, the flavors created a wonderful explosion in my mouth. The enchiladas were among the best I’ve ever had—super moist, tender, and simply delicious. The shrimp tacos were enormous, crispy, and absolutely delightful. During my conversation with the manager, I was pleased to confirm my suspicions that Bar César is connected to César, and it definitely lives up to the name.
This place serves excellent cocktails and has very friendly staff. We enjoy visiting for their Happy Hour oysters.
What a GEM this place is. Fun and relaxed atmosphere with excellent service and delicious food and drinks! Good luck Hour too! I'm looking forward to returning!
Good food and bottomless mimosas. They kept our glasses full! I had the Mexican omelet and my boyfriend had the avocado toast. Both were delicious and they come with potatoes.

This restaurant is excellent. They serve some of the best flautas I've ever had, and they definitely know it. While I understand the concept of shrinkflation and the rising costs of doing business, charging $13.50 for a single flauta that is just cut in half is quite unreasonable. I'm not sure I'll be able to visit as frequently as I used to, especially when the portion sizes were larger.
The Shishito Peppers, Ceviche De Camaron, and Guacamole were all excellent. However, I found the portion of Guacamole to be quite small, which is surprising since I don't remember it being that way when I've ordered it previously at the restaurant.
I was disappointed by the ribs, they were saucy but flavorless. Everything else was just OK surprising given their higher en pricing. Did not meet my higher end expectations.
Fantastic food! Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the enchiladas, lamb chops, and ceviche. I will definitely be ordering again soon!

We visited during Happy Hour, and it was a great choice for drinks and tacos. We also decided to try some items from the main menu. The drinks were robust, and the oysters were fantastic. The chili obot malonette had a bold kick but was absolutely delicious. The fish tacos were really tasty, and the popcorn chicken was among the best I've ever had. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience.
The service was excellent. The sangria was served in a generous pitcher. The guacamole had a bit too much salt for my taste. The tempura avocado and chicken tacos were fantastic!

We went there for the Happy Hour. Good choice for drinks and tacos. We ended up ordering other items in the main menu. The drinks are strong. The oysters are awesome. The chili shallot malonette has a strong kick but it’s awesome. The fishtacos taste really good. The popcorn chickens are one of the best. Overall, a very satisfying culinary experience.
