What Mary Cole doesn't like about Ferrarese's:
Really was looking forward to having a late lunch , got there at 2:35 was told we couldn't have a seat because they close at 3:00 well if they close at 3 wouldn't 2:35 still be open for service. Big disappointment..I guess they get enough service to not take anymore tables . Seems strange to be but ok then. Not even a take out order would they take. Maybe put a sign on the window . Very busy. No reservations. 30-plus minute wait for even take out.
The gyros are huge and tasty. I have a hard time finishing one. Standouts, the puts is usually fresh made and warmed on the baking grill. The meat is liberally applied and usually the best lamb gyro meat I have had. This is a little pricey compared to some of the competition, but worth the premium fire the product. With the gyro and a soda usually ringing in around $20. Have been around 5 times. All but one are exceptional. The one was good. That is a great success rate. Definitely recommend!
Who would have guessed that Oakdale would have such a good place to eat? Authentically Italian-American pastas, excellent sandwiches, and perfect potato salad. A bit too noisy, but overall, really worth a visit!
Best restaurant ever!!!! Love the staff and atmosphere.
