I have to start by saying I am not a big bagel fan, too much chewing for my taste. But Daley bagel I love. The bagels are so fresh and tasty and while yes chewy, not in a overly chewy way, they have some really good flavors. Plus some rotating weekly specials. We go here every fee months or so and I always remember how delicious the bagels are. View all feedback.
What Bryan Escareno doesn't like about The Daly Bagel:
First timer review. Tried a basic breakfast sandwich and was kind of underwhelmed. Mightve been because my bagel was cold. (Maybe i couldve asked for it toasted although not sure if that was an option.)Had a bite of my partners lox bagel and was alot better. Very flavorful. 2 bagel sandwiches and 2 coffees with tip is about $28 Sooo def would make this a once in a while thing cause dang View all feedback.
Bagels were delicious! I also got the rise and shine breakfast sandwich with Taylor Ham. Yum! Double Cortado espresso drink was also well made. Will be back for the specialty bagels soon!
Walkable, friendly, always a line... Just what I'm looking for at a neighborhood bakery. The Daly Bagel has new york style, doughy, chewy firm bagels. I tend to stay with Everythind, Asiago Cheese or Poppy with a shmear. The sandwiches take a bit take long to prepare, fresh does that... so do yourself a favor and call ahead. due to COVid, there are only 3 parties allowed inside at this writing, but I'm not sure you'd want to eat in the vestibule with the amount of traffic coming through the door. $3 Coffee is well roasted, not bitter, nor needing cream or sugar to cover up the flavor. One thing missing is Lox in the dairy case but they do have special holiday baked goods.
I was searching Chicago for that awesome New Jersey delicacy, Taylor Ham (a/k/a Pork Roll for my South Jersey friends) when I stumbled across The Daily Bagel. An amalgamation of both a real NYC bagel and the Taylor Ham, Egg Cheese (though not on a Jersey Hardroll), I thought I 'd saunter up there on a Saturday and check it out. It was wonderful. I 've been back three times now. I 've had their version of the sandwich, the Rise Shine on three different bagels, a poppy seed, an everything, and a garlic, all have been great! Next will be an asiago.... You can watch the bagels being made after you order and are waiting for your meal, which is cool. My advice to you? If there is a line outside, it 's worth the wait. My advice to the owners? Please open a second location! Enjoy!
Seeking the best bagel bakery in the Chicagoland area? Look no further, The Daly Bagel is home to the chewiest tastiest bagel around. The weekly special bagels are a must try. Do not skip on the baked goods. Their chocolate chunk cookie was so delectable I had to stop and write this review from my car. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating while quickly getting through lines out the door. It is well worth the wait if you get stuck in one. I typically go before 0800 and have yet to have an issue.
Picked up a Rise and Shine The TLT for about $14 on Sunday morning. My husband enjoyed the Rise and Shine (I enjoyed the bite I tried) I loved the TLT (shown in photo) a complete mouthful! We showed up before the crowd it took about ten minutes to prep. As soon as I got my food there was a bit of a line forming. There is outside patio sitting (it's just some wire tables on patchy grass) that gets the job done.
