You absolutely have to try the Brussels sprouts and the calf salad, along with the basil chicken and the Geisha roll. Everything was amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful. The host wasn’t very accommodating (they seated us at a table meant for four but provided only two chairs, so we had to find a few ourselves), but our waiter was fantastic. What User doesn't like about Mora Asian Kitchen Oak Park:
The Brussels sprouts and kale salad was excellent! The honey shrimp was good, but the lumpia was just okay. We ordered two rolls—one was good, but the other was unappetizing and warm. The drinks weren't great either. The live saxophone playing added a nice touch, but it was way too loud for a mostly empty restaurant. I don’t think I’ll be returning. View all feedback.
Fantastic eating and drinking, excellent bar staff. probably the most rude and seemingly out of the deep host I encountered in all my travels.
Long wait time and mediocre food. Really good cocktails and the honey walnut shrimp was great.
I’ll start with...the food is very good. Only one miss and that was the eggplant. Half of it was raw thus inedible. All other 7-8 items we ordered were honestly exceptional. My big problem was the lack of service. We waited for 15 minutes to be approached, then drinks never came without us flagging the server down and asking for them. Repeatedly. The room is terribly lit. It’s way too bright and the track heads are aimed at seated positions. The bar is over lit. The feature wall needs paint. It looks like it’s finished in a primer. Easy fixes. If it were my restaurant I’d have that sorted out on day 1. I’ll definitely order delivery or take-away. Food is really tasty.
Went on VDay. We have been 6 or 7 times, and the food was very good as always. Our server was excellent once she was assigned to us. Restaurant was not prepared for how busy the night was--arrived at 6:55 for a 7:00. A couple of tables were available. But the host was handling a dissatisfied pick up customer (sushi was not ready, and he was running back and forth to kitchen ; a dissatisfied customer over the phone who already had picked up and then discovered that the order was incorrectly filled; clean-up of tables; phone calls. They just were under-staffed. We were seated at 7:25. Wife finally waived down a server for us at 7:45. From then on smooth sailing, because the drinks (secret agent! and food (esp noodles pancit, lemongrass beef, green beans, sushi were very good, and our server was a delight. We look forward to our next visit, just maybe not on a holiday.
Very disorganized. Not just our table, everyone’s food was taking excessively long. Food was tasty but the service and organization was made for as less than enjoyable experience.
