Buena Fe - Oak Park
Buena Fe
Description
Nestled as a cozy neighborhood spot, this Mexican–Salvadoran kitchen excels at pupusas, birria tacos, flautas and standout guacamole—fresh, crispy and flavorful. Service is usually quick and polite, earning local love, though experiences vary with occasional slow checkout or brusque moments. The intimate dining room offers pleasant background music but shows wear and needs cleaner restrooms. Menu prices are generally fair but online pricing can be inconsistent, so double-check totals when ordering.

These were the best tacos I’ve ever had in Michigan. I tried one steak taco, one al pastor, and one birria taco.
This delightful authentic Mexican restaurant is situated in a lovely location. The food was absolutely amazing! Having lived in Houston, TX for six years, I know what great Tex-Mex should taste like. The refried beans were fantastic—homemade and incredibly appetizing. The Mexican rice was superb; I could tell it would be delicious just by looking at it. The homemade chips and salsa were to die for. The chicken flautas were generously filled with chicken, and the crust was thin, crispy, and melted in my mouth! My son's chimichanga was fabulous. The restaurant itself was clean and visually appealing. The service was friendly, quick, and top-notch. We will definitely be back!
