However, my overal... read more I've visited coffee shops all over and recently tried a latte here. I found it a bit too mild and felt it could use a stronger espresso kick. However, my overall experience was positive. The coffee cake was delicious, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to settle in with a good book. I also appreciated the excellent customer service.

After 20 years eek! The new owners looked at how it is now called Apollos and... as good or better than the original. Friede can now return to Oak Park, our coffee needs are done and it is not necessary to walk over the parking lot to the dark side. Thanks Apollos for keeping Oak Park authentic. It’s a lovely spot to relax for an afternoon, with quality coffee and tasty pastries. The Beanscene Blast and Kid's Blast (blended coffee or chocolate drinks) are quite popular in the city and definitely worth trying. A helpful tip: purchase some chocolate-covered espresso beans from the small machine, and they will add them to your drink for an extra boost.
