Food is awesome when they have what you want. We drive 45 minutes to get the ham and cheese sub. The last time up here they were out of ham, this time they said they wasn't doing sandwiches. Not sure if it was just today or for the season. I didn't realize ham was a seasonal food. We left and went to Moosies. Their #17 was delicious!!!!(Ham and cheese sub)
My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) ate here on July 30, 2023. We got there around 11:30. There were a few tables outside who had pizza that looked decent. We decided to sit inside where a large party was just getting their order in and one other table was already seated with drinks. We got our drink order in and shortly after got our food order in. We ordered a slice of pizza, italian cold cut, chicken tenders and a meat lovers personal size pizza. Shortly after our order went in, a table was seated behind us. Then 2 more tables were sat then 4 adults sat at the bar area. The large party received their pizza order, then the party sitting behind us got their entire order. Next the large party got their non pizza orders. We saw 2 additional tables get their food then the four adults got their pizzas (all personal sized). When my husband inquired about our order, we were told everyone else had ordered appetizers and thats why our food was taking so long. I did not agree with her because one of our orders was an appetizer, the slice of pizza ended up being reheated and the sandwhich was a cold cut. Also, several others had received personal sized pizzas before I got mine. So, I don't know if she just put our order in late or what. However, our waitress became very attentive to us after that, a little to late for that in my opinion. The food was okay. It took us an hour to get our order. We also witnessed another person complain that they had been waiting an hour and requested to cancel her order. I would not return at all or recommend. We went without reading any reviews as it was a decision made at the moment.
One of the most confusing situations...I can't comment on the food because we didn't stay long enough to eat.The waitress was nice but very confused about what was going on.We asked to be seated outside, which was not a problem because there were so many open tables. When we were seated, the waitress told us they weren't serving sandwiches outside and we couldn't get our drinks in plastic cups because they weren't allowed outside, so we were be limited to canned drinks. Obviously this was confusing no sandwiches and no plastic cups outside? Especially when two other tables had plastic cups. (She said one table talked to the manager and the other moved outside after the inside was too cold for their children. She said the manger said they were switching the menu for the fall and they couldn't serve sandwiches outside, she didn't know why.So we decided to go inside. That was pretty much a disaster too there were maybe two or three tables taken, the rest were dirty. No dishes, cups, or napkins, but crumbs from leftover food, water spots. We decided to leave. With other choices around, I'll probably won't come back.
My family of 7 sat outside and enjoyed the lake view. The waitress was new and was delayed in greeting us. The pizza we ate was very average. The price was reasonable for what we received.
Food is so-so. Nothing to rave about and nothing to drive me back. Went for lunch on a Mon in July. They didn't have meatballs so couldn't make the meatball sub. Wife tried to have chicken salad, but they only had 2 orders of it. Its 11:30 AM...how do they not have food. I ended up with the Italian sub. It has 4 kids of meat and It literally came with one slice of each meat...the tomato doubled the size of the sandwich.Service was good. They worked very well with my families food allergies.
