Nice little diner to visit on Oak Island. I got a huge breakfast and couldn’t even finish it all, chocolate chip pancakes the size of your plate! Staff was very friendly and kept the hot coffee refilled constantly throughout my whole meal! View all feedback.
What Janelle Cunningham doesn't like about Long Beach Diner:
We went on a Saturday morning and had a short wait for our party of five. Everyone was kind and courteous. I really like that the menu lets you order how much food you need (1 biscuit, 3 French toast, etc. , versus having a standard menu item. The kids menu items are also perfectly portioned and priced. It was good, but nothing really special in my opinion. We might go back, but we're not itching to visit again on ou... View all feedback.
This is hands down the best breakfast joint in Oak Island! The food was delicious, came out within 8-10 minutes of ordering and the staff are so sweet! Marsha was our server and we’d come back here again just for her! I highly recommend their biscuits and gravy.
First time trying this place for breakfast. Everyone was so friendly. Our waiter was great. Food was good and portions were big. The owner even came by and checked on us and asked if everything was to our liking. We will definitely return.
Food was good. I got a breakfast sandwich and French toast (all gluten-free), and it was super tasty. However, our severer wasn’t at all knowledgeable about gluten-free eating and, at one point, handed me French toast telling me it was gluten-free when it looked like regular French toast. We questioned him and he confirmed it was indeed gluten free; we requested he confirm it with the chef. He came back and said it wasn’t gluten-free and handed it to another person at our table. If I hadn’t questioned, I’d have had a very bad day (celiac disease). He also was generally quiet and not much into talking (not a great trait for a server). The price was fair and the food was incredible, but the service can make or break an experience, and unfortunately in this case, it broke it.
Me and 6 of my buddies went on a Saturday morning at 830am and got seated right away. Service was friendly and everyone was bragging about how delicious there breakfast was!! Will definitely be back!!
Traditional diner breakfast. It is a huge amount of food but really good and service was great. Good coffee. Overall, good place for a hearty traditional breakfast. Reasonable prices too. Definitely worth it but do expect a wait on weekend mornings.
