Tucked away inside Island Drugs near the heart of Oak Harbor is a little gem of a lunch counter. It's small, but the delicious sandwiches, soup and fountain drinks reflect an old fashioned 5 and 10 lunch counter. The soups are freshly made everyday and could probably be considered gourmet in their deliciousness and range. Excellent service though after lunch hours some menu items are unavailable due to popularity. Apple pie shakes with real apple pie slices being one example.

We've tried to go here 4 times now. No one is ever there, and they are closed early every time we try to go despite working hours stating that they are open from 9-5pm. That's a great way to lose business.

Very disappointed! I have been to apple a day several times and despite the slow service the food is good and affordable! Today my coworker and I decided to give it a try one more time even though we usually don't have enough time to eat on our 1 hr lunch break. My shake was delicious, but my egg salad sandwich had a huge hair in it. I understand that these things happen but the staff didn't even acknowledge the fact that there was hair in my sandwich. They didn't apologize or try and make it right. Just kind of oh well....sucks to be you attitude. Very disappointed and will not return!
