I visited during restaurant week and had a great experience. The filet was outstanding, and the clam chowder and apple cake were also wonderful. However, the server seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and the service could have been better. Nonetheless, the quality of the food made it worth it for the special deal. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mccormick Schmick's Seafood Oak Brook:
The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Parking was very bad though. Took us 15 minutes just to find a park. When the hosted set us down, we waited about 10 minutes and no one had greeted us as the waiter so I asked the hostess who was our waiter and she apologized and told us his name and that she would let him know. It took another 5 minutes before our waiter came. We thought we would have to leave and go to ano... View all feedback.

My rating is based on a standard from before the COVID pandemic. Like everywhere else, the staff at this restaurant...
The food was outstanding, and even though the service was a bit slow, we were patient and understood the situation.
This is my second time at the McCormick and Schmick in Oak Brook. But it has been several years since the last time. The food was was a HUGE disappointment. Thankfully our waiter Glenn was fantastic. Our reservation was for 2:30 PM and we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, New England clam chowder and that was okay and not a bad start. I ordered the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass and the fish was tasteless and overcooked. The tomatoes on top of the gnocchi and fish were grape tomatoes that should have been warmed and were cold on top of a hot dish. My sister ordered the Blackened Chicken Fettuccine and you could clearly see that the chicken was as hard as a hockey puck, dry and distasteful. The shrimp was also overcooked. And from the regular menu we had the Chilled Seafood Tower for two. None of the seafood had any of flavor. It was also overcooked and bland. It almost seemed as if the seafood was from two days prior. Needless to say I will definitely not be call me back to that restaurant and spending that kind of money. There was definitely no quality control or care for the food or customer experience, unfortunately.
We had dinner here tonight for their restaurant week menu and had a fabulous meal with service that couldn't be beat from start to finish. The clam chowder is THE BEST EVER! I had the Chilean sea bass with gnocchi and the hubby had the ribeye as an upgrade. Preferred dessert is the upside down apple pie with ice cream it is insanely good. Everything we had was fantastic and so we plan on making M&S a date night spot.
