La Barra Oak Brook

I had advised on reservation that it was a birthday celebration, but there was no mention. Service was slowest since I started going to LaBarra 7 years ago. I do love the patio food

Delicious food. Friendly service. Lovely patio view ambiance.

The pasta dishes themselves were very good, especially the vodka sauce. The only downside I would say is that the music there is super loud and almost makes it feel like you’re in a sports bar, not a nice Italian restaurant. We were also not given bread to our table, which is fairly standard at most other restaurants. Overall a 4-star. I would go back and just ask to sit outside on the patio instead.

We sat on the patio and it was perfect! The food was a bit slow to come out but the wait staff was attentive. We wanted a cherry cola but they didn’t have it. They offered to add cherry syrup and topped it with maraschino cherries. They also accommodated our request by making an Italian sausage dish which was not on the menu. I highly recommend it

It was my daughters birthday-which I had noted in the reservation-the waiter never acknowledged her, we never received bread, was missing part of our meal, did not receive water refills, and he never even offered us dessert. Horrible service-definitely will not be returning.
