Oriental Star - Oadby and Wigston

Just before the pandemic here really hit our favorite Chinese carbahn (new golden chef on claredon park road) closed for good and we knew that we had to find another to fill this empty one. we tried oriental star for the first time over 2 years and I can say with full confidence that it is the best Chinese takeaway in the Oadby/Stoneygate against. we have tried several years because we find it hard to believe that one on our door is also the best, but it is true! we always come to oriental star and nothing is to compare with it! if they are within the delivery area, they have to try it! and even if you don't, you could always collect! it is probably worth the trip! few tipps - I would suggest ordering one because after opening times to make sure they get the freshest food. ordering their food for 7/7.30 tends to be the sweet place for us and if they are busy it could be worth waiting. we had to wait 2 hours for our food yesterday (they told us that before the order, so no problem) and when the food arrived, it was incredible! my cousin simmy hasn't stopped smiling since she ate that!

My first Chinese takeaway for almost two years and my first time here, well I can just say it was fab, delivered to the time requested, piping hot and tasty. I have never experienced such decent parts, devi will make this my place to go in the future.

Oriental star has been our regular Chinese takeaway for many years now, the staff know us well and their food has never disappointed, have tried others in Oadby but we always come back here.

I order this restaurant about once in the month. eating is always excellent, it is always on time ready to use it regularly, as the search for consistent quality is difficult to find. look at yourself
