Tex-mex Express

Description

Hidden behind a grocery store, this spacious, homey Tex‑Mex spot serves authentic, homemade tacos (asada, carnitas, beef cheek), tamales and lively salsa—popular with travelers and families. Diners praise its comforting, affordable flavors and welcoming vibe, though others note inconsistent portions and quality (burnt pizza, onion-heavy ceviche), occasional order errors, and frustrating phone service. Some customers also report card tips being kept by management. Overall, a flavorful roadside gem worth trying if you know what to expect.

They were fantastic about a year ago, but lately, their service has been declining. If the sign says $2 tacos, then the tacos should actually be $2. During my last three visits, I was overcharged.

I just learned last night that my 14-year-old niece got food poisoning from this restaurant, which was reported to me just before midnight. We will never return to this place again.

When I was a little kid, my parents and I used to come to this restaurant. Nothing brings back memories of my beautiful homeland of Ireland quite like this place!

Always takes 15-20 minutes to get someone to pick up the phone, once they do they think its hilarious to play “pick up and hang up”. I don’t get it, maybe if you guys hired grown and mature adults or people who actually want to work instead of these underage kids you’d make more money and clientele. If i could give 0 stars i would. Pizza has always been one of my go to favs from here but these past 2 orders iv’e made, the pizza is burnt like literally black.‍ DO BETTER TEX MEX!?

The Carne asada tacos have gotten smaller and the price is gotten bigger... My self I ordered 2 of the quesadillas and paid extra for rice and beans. When we got our food home, no beans or rice... the last time we went there they did the same with Carne Asada plates. Paid extra got home and no rice or beans... the food is very good however they need to do better at making sure the order is as it was requested.... no one wants to pay extra for food they didn't get. Seems to be a trend here.
