And the worse was the attitude of some of the employees/director (a very kind waitress though), really not friendly, especially when asking questions about the food or the cooking.

We'd been before, a couple of years back and it was fine. Things have changed, and not for the better.The service? Indifferent at best (unless you are a local, in which case you get fawned over and chatted to, while ignoring lesser mortals who might, you know, appreciate being given a menu or something). Tourists who just want a drink? They were dispatched with speed, and non too politely. OK, fair enough that they wanted the space for diners, but basic courtesy would have been nice to one old guy who clearly didn't understand much French.Tourists who want to eat? Right, let's fleece 'em.The day's special was a steak with pasta. My husband asked if he could have fries. Sure. Except that suddenly became à la carte, and thus about 8 Euros more. Apparently it was OK, although the portion of fries was a) on the meagre side and b) they were fried-up small potatoes. Not being a great carnivore, I opted for a Nicoise salad. It was, if I remember, about 13 or 14 Euro which is about par for the course in this part of the world.I think the portion of tuna on it might just have filled a tablespoon. A small tablespoon. There was an egg, two slices of watery tomato, a few olives and three or four strips of anchovy. Quite a lot of green salad. And probably half a tablespoon of bland vinaigrette on it all. Hardly the stuff dreams are made of. Wouldn't go again.
