Velo, located in Nyack, is a restaurant with mixed reviews. Some diners find the food good but pricey and the service just okay, feeling let down after having experienced the excellent food and service at their sister restaurant, Bici in Ramsey. On the other hand, others rave about the fabulous food and wonderful service at Velo, with Andrew going above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. The atmosphere is described as friendly and sophisticated, with potent drinks, fantastic food, and knowledgeable servers. While some diners have had negative experiences with slow service and disappointing dishes, others highly recommend Velo for its consistently delicious food, fantastic bar, good wine selection, and attentive service. The only downside seems to be that the restaurant can get loud at times, making conversation difficult. Overall, Velo seems to be a hit or miss dining experience depending on the expectations and preferences of the diner.

Was looking for a good restaurant in the Nyack areaEven though there were a lot of 4 star restaurants many had 1 or 2 star reviews.
Went here last week for lunch with a friend, & we were not disappointed.
The place is really nice, nice warm feel and I love the bicycle theme! The bar was nice, had a drink before we sat down. The service was great and the food was VERY good. The price was reasonably, for the quality of food, so all in all a really greatplace that I highly recommend.
Great food and good wine selection. The only negative is that since the place seems to be very popular and often full, it can get fairly loud, so carrying a conversation could be a bit challenging. But food and service are both top notch.
