The restaurant is located in a farm area and it is simple and clean. The genuine dishes made with homegrown ingredients has the rich flavours we have almost forgotten. Hand-made pasta, the local wine, aglianico, and the local ham, prosciutto, are excellent indeed. The young chef is able combines well the local traditional cuisine with some innovation. Friendly service and very reasonable prices. View all feedback.
What giuseppemW7624ER doesn't like about La Contadinella:
Nice location, but not easy to reach. The pastas are not what I was expected, but the meats were tasteful. The house wine was not the best, but, anyhow, cheap overall. View all feedback.
We had a great time with the goodies and the quality of food, family and friendly atmosphere. excellent value for money. we will return
Me and my family went one Sunday to lunch, having booked the day before for 6 adults plus 2 children and 3 strollers. when we enter we say on the reservation and already begins an absurd confusion: but you are the 5 4, the 6 2 seemed to play lotto. saying how many we were sitting at a table, where we were all comfortable. After 20 minutes we were sitting, sitting with children, glasses of oate bread etc., tell us that it was necessary to pass to a table where we were closer, but above all with the only space to put strollers in front of the kitchen ocita, and several times the door hit us despite it had indicated us several times. About the service, unfortunately I am sorry to say because the only staff in the room was a child who gave himself much to do and very friendly, but unfortunately only and rather unprepared, created delays to all and things arrived with the dropper, never arrived all the dishes for the table. It's true it's been a nice family day, but a four-hour lunch is maybe a little overreacted. all in good food, nothing spectacular, but I can't really talk about it. Unfortunately a restaurant is certainly made of food, but there is not only this. I don't know if I'm coming back.

I found this restaurant, or rather agriturismo on trip advisor although have now discovered that many from out of the area get to the agriturismo via the various groupon formulas that they offer. The restaurant offers manues alla carte or those linked to groupon vouchers. The groupon vouchers offer menues of anti pasti which are less rich than the one that we had with meat or a menue that comprends just all the pasta you can eat various sauces with anti pasti and wine, water and dessert and just coffee. A great deal as for two people you would spend around 20 euros. I never go for this type of choice as i prefer to eat what i like and not be forced into pasta or meat as i am intollerant to pasta. WE ATE 3 ANTI PASTI parma ham, salami, local cold cuts, mozzarella, ricotta and potatoe with cheese x 2 and a white bean soup and also a soup made with greens and beans. We had a litre of wine and a litre of water bought to the table with bread and also tomato bruschetta. My husband and my daughter had pasta fusilli with cream and black truffles and orrecchiete pasta with pumpkin and mushrooms and i had a plate of the greens with beans. We had grilled meats, lamb, sausage and veal steak, salad and chips hand cut, two slices of apricot pie, a huge plate of cheese for me followed by two grappas and 4 coffees price 80 euros coming out at around 27 euros a head. The groupon formula comes out at 10 euros a head but there is not plate of ham or cheese and no first or second course depending on what you have if you add the plate of anti pasto then it totals up to around 15 then with the plate of meat or pasta you would arrive easily at 25 27 euros per head so it all works out honestly. I will certainly come back again as i loved the tastes, ususally i never even touch the potatoe plates, but i tasted them and they were delicious, never eat sausage but these were so well grilled and so lean that i just could not resist and was glad i ate what i did the cheese was absolutely delicious and the slice of pie was big and I am assured to die for. We had a good time and no one that was there when we arrived made a move to leave!!!!! Only negative point, the service was a little slow and confusing to the wait staff I am sure as most of the restaurant were using the vouchers only good thing that comes out of this is the pasta came out piping hot and not pre cooked as they were constantly on the go and offered 5 types of sauces so you got served freshout of the pan!!! Such good value, try it Rita, Gennaro and Maria Luisa, Avellino
