We ate at the Help Out Mill for my Wife’s birthday and were really pleasantly surprised. We didn’t know what to expect only that it had good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were taken aback by how intimate the venue is yet still large enough to enjoy your visit with a degree of privacy. The Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was exquisite. I believe the menu is revised fairly regularly but focuses on using local produce with game options. We shall be returning in the near future. Preferably when it is the lighter nights so that we can enjoy the beautiful surroundings a bit more. That being said, the place was lit up beautifully in the dark. Would definitely recommend! What can I say this is a really easy 5 stars. Lovely location and a beautiful old building with high ceilings and original beams. Cosy atmosphere the carpets are so nice I felt like I should have left my shoes at the door. The service couldn't have been better absolutely A1 and really looked after us. The food was 10/10 and I wouldn't change a thing (the hake was cooked to perfection). Lovely wine too. Very reasonably priced for the experience and quality (the Sunday 3 courses fixed menu). The only downside was that they don't take tips via card, and we had no cash so felt a bit embarrassed about it but the lady serving us couldn't have been nicer about it. Please add the facility for card tips though! Will definitely go back again superb.
