This restaurant used to be fantastic, but I hadn’t eaten here in a while until tonight. I ordered six items to go, and everything seemed the same, but the kitchen seemed confused and sent out food for an “already completed order.” The brisket was cooked in an oven and lacked any smoky flavor; it tasted more like a roast than barbecue. Good place to stop for some good BBQ in the middle of nowhere IH37!
My husband got the three meat plate with brisket, sausage and turkey I had the three meat plate with brisket, sausage and ribs. All meats were so tough, that a raw hide chew toy for dogs would have been easier to eat. Brought most of it home for the dogs. We were there shortly after they opened the new restaurant and all food was absolutely delicious at that time. I don't know what happened. Use your own judgement if you consider on going in.
Waitress was friendly but food was not good. Keep driving too next BBQ place.
Keep driving to the next bbq place. There was only one table with people when we got there but it seemed like the employees had no direction. We all got our drinks quick then the kitchen happened. There were 8 at our table yet the food came out in 3 waves 10 minutes apart. The food sucked. I don't know where to start but not one in our group was happy.
