Here are the two important things you should know: #1 - The Crispy Roast Pork is a must-try. #2 - They only accept cash. Perhaps one day I’ll discover more about Ruby BBQ, but for now, that’s really all you need to know. Everything else is just a bonus.
Although the interior could use some improvement, the food is outstanding! The roast pork is absolutely delightful—crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. When you dip it in the hoisin sauce, it's simply perfect. Unfortunately, I couldn’t try the char siu as they had run out by the time I arrived (which was a bit late), but I plan to give it a shot next time, along with the roast duck. The roast pork is priced at $21.99 per pound, and it’s definitely worth it. I also ordered the Szechuan eggplant, dry string beans, salt and pepper rock cod, and clams in black bean sauce. Everything was exceptional—just the right amount of seasoning, which can be a rarity in Chinese cuisine. This place has quickly become my new favorite Chinese BBQ spot!
