Eating and service is always great. the ribs and the speck wrapped garnels are our favorites. the prices are very reasonable. they also have a good breakfast. we often come here.
The first place where we stopped (in walking distance our apartment,) smells like canal, the singer was terrible, they ignored us completely and the place was filled with self-important mozens watching sport. the second place did not serve fish we all wanted and. it smells a bit like a canal. we were all grouchy when we entered in las isla and we are greeted with the beautiful sound of saxophone and a friendly owner, plus the place roch divine with the smell of cedar plank bbq! the grilled fish, steak-fajitas and cocos yarns were delicious and we all enjoyed us enormously!
I ordered the huevo bendict and it was the best breakfast I have had in Mexico so far. The atmosphere is cozy authentic and the staff are very friendly and fun. We have booked a reservation to go back for dinner tonight and soo looking...forward to it.
La Isla used to be our favorite restaurant in Nuevo. It's been a few years since we have been here. Don't know if there has been a change in ownership but definitely a new chef. It was not as good this visit. My first meal...was so salty I couldn't eat it, birria. Second meal of fish was better but I told the waiter, no salt. Breakfast seems to be the best meals they serve.
