Mr. Schaukat told us he had catering e... read more A few weeks ago, four of us went to dinner at the Blumenhaus to inquire about celebrating our child's confirmation there. Mr. Schaukat told us he had catering every Sunday until June, so he would be open on Sundays until then (since he's there anyway), and we were very welcome to come. He also showed us how he would reserve the back area (3 tables) for us. We repeatedly mentioned the date, time, and number of people. He confirmed it (repeatedly) and said he had written everything down (he was behind the counter in the meantime). I asked if I should call back shortly beforehand, but he said it wasn't necessary, as the reservation was already booked. When we arrived at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the confirmation, we had a nasty surprise – Mr. Schaukat approached us and said he was having a private party today and, unfortunately, couldn't offer us any food. He didn't want to acknowledge our reservation, so we had to leave. We weren't offered a practical solution either. In the end, we quickly provided our guests with pizza. Our confirmation child was incredibly sad; the day was ruined. That's unforgivable, and we'll never go there again.
