What User doesn't like about Shashamane:
I have been there yesterday with friend and we drank two beers. It was so stinky ,you can felt curry spice in every breath you take. This is some alternative place, with two concepts which i can understand. Etiopia-Afrikan Cocktail Bar??Same like England-European bar in USA, plus cocktail. I do not see any connections betwen cocktails and Africa. Instead a tourist trap and fast done interior design. You will have smell... View all feedback.
The Ethiopian/African restaurant shashamane is now located at Willy-Brandt square 4. Since I have eaten Africa in other cities, I was pleased that we have discovered an African restaurant in nürnberg. to increase it in advance that shashamane offers good African food, good value for money, pleasant service and environment. our main dishes were served with inschara an Ethiopian stream, with which they can eat the food by hand. I have eaten chicken bones -mesir kay we do not (skin sauce with Ethiopia.) it was pleasantly sharp and convinced by an interesting spicy mix. also the other dishes were very delicious. they can really only recommend this restaurant. I don't have to eat it every day, but sometimes it's something special.

As we know, the human being is not an animal and therefore does not have a built-in navigator that we would have imagined when we went to Shashamane on a holiday. On the city map it looked so easy because it should be located in the immediate vicinity of the main railway station. Whenever you think that can't be so hard to find a simple shop on a main road, think too far or quite next to it and of course ask the passersby again. They didn't know, but after more than 45 minutes. We finally found it. It is located in a backyard that can be reached from 2 pages, but the eye contact from the seemingly simple way is blocked by a bank (which is located in a high house), but after a successful evening it returns to the background. Already outside, the Ethiopian flag and map of Africa acts as a colour cup in the area. When I started a research in the places that offer good cocktails, Shashamane was on my favorite list. Further research also revealed that it is an Ethiopian special restaurant. It was an interesting discovery when I discovered an extract from the menu and the beverage menu on the homepage. Even better sounded that in happy hour all alcoholic cocktails should only cost € 4.90. That sounds good at the views, but if it is indeed the case, it should turn out this evening. After we reached it, a certain Waw effect was detected when we entered because the device reflected what it had already promised from outside. This is certainly the first plus point that speaks for the authenticity of the place. On the side of the room, if you do not want to eat dishes, you can use small benches before there are still colorful tables. Since the places next to the window are either occupied or reserved, we decided to move towards the bar. At some point I noticed a sign with a smashed cutlery, panic came up with me, how should that go, especially when you chose hot dishes, because we fried and previously marinated with a typical spice mix from the region. The light sharpness has wonderfully rounded off the taste of fried goat meat, which we both had tried for the first time in life. The meat was wonderfully tender. For the first time we drank the evening to celebrate Long Island Iced Tea, mmh delicious. Our fear that there are any sailors at dinner have quickly dissolved in the air, as to our order have added bread placed on a separate dish with which you can eat the meal in portions. After the records were emptied, we also ordered a Zombi and something called Jamaica, just before the end of Happy Hour, suitable for the great music played here. Reduced drinks are available 17-18:30, but African creations and long drinks are excluded from the offer. The whole evening, including food and drinks, we enjoyed very well, pity that it is so far away, otherwise we would be regular guests. What else do you want?
The Shashamane is for those who want to look beyond the edge of the plate: large exotic foods with special spices and an atmosphere that looks like it. I've never been asked to dance in the middle of a restaurant by the guests. And yes, the mood is completely in itself. I have not experienced such a joy in life! In addition, the restaurant is very cheap, but you wait when it is full for an hour. But believe me, it's really worth it!
The food in Shashamane is delicious and the ambience was also great! Drinks Merry happiness Absolutely recommended!
